Your path forward

Six steps, explained honestly

No two cases are the same, but the road map is — including the decisions that are not ours to make.

  1. Step 1: Begin with a secure inquiry

Share only the basic information needed for us to contact you.

  2. Step 2: Prepare your child’s records

We help organize the records requested for professional review.

  3. Step 3: Coordinate the referral

We route the completed case to an appropriate provider when possible.

  4. Step 4: Receive the provider’s decision

The hospital or specialist independently decides whether to offer an appointment or treatment plan.

  5. Step 5: Plan documents and travel

If accepted, we help coordinate available cost, appointment, and visa-support documents and practical travel needs.

  6. Step 6: Prepare for arrival and follow-up

We help families understand the next logistical steps before, during, and after the visit.

Who decides what. Hospitals independently decide whether they can accept a patient. U.S. consular and border authorities independently decide visa and entry matters. Cincy Kids Bridge cannot guarantee either decision.

For international families

Built for families coming from abroad

Crossing borders for a child’s care raises questions most websites never answer. Our International hub walks through each one in plain English.

Two decisions, two decision-makers

  1. 1Hospital acceptance — decided by the hospital’s clinical team.
  2. 2Visa approval — decided by U.S. consular officers.

Before you share medical records

Please do not send medical records, diagnostic images, or passport scans through public forms or ordinary email. After we review your inquiry, we invite eligible families to a secure channel for sensitive documents.

This website is not for emergencies.

If a child may be experiencing a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately. In the United States, call 911.

Prefer to talk it through?

Request a call and a coordinator will reach out to arrange a time that suits you — wherever you are in the world.

Common questions

Asked by almost every family

Straight answers to the questions families ask first.

Still have a question?Write to cases@cincykidsbridge.org — we reply within 2 business days.

Do you make hospital acceptance decisions?
No. Hospitals independently decide whether they can accept a patient. U.S. consular and border authorities independently decide visa and entry matters. Cincy Kids Bridge cannot guarantee either decision.
Are you part of a hospital?
No. Cincy Kids Bridge is an independent care-coordination service. We are not affiliated with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center or any government agency, and we do not provide medical care ourselves.
When should I buy plane tickets?
Not yet. We encourage families not to buy nonrefundable travel until the hospital has accepted the case and the appropriate visa approvals are in place. Acceptance and visa approval are two separate decisions.
What does it cost?
Every case is different, so coordination fees are determined individually when we review your situation — and always confirmed in writing before any paid work begins. Hospitals provide their own estimates for medical care. We will never surprise you with hidden charges.
