Travel & Lodging

Traveling internationally with a child who needs medical care takes more planning than a vacation. We help your family think through flights, where to stay for your child’s treatment schedule, and how you will get around — coordinating with third-party travel providers rather than replacing them.

What’s included

  • Help planning realistic flight routes and timing around your appointments
  • Lodging options suited to medical stays — location, kitchens, laundry, longer terms
  • Ground transportation planning: airport pickup, hospital trips
  • Practical advice for flying with a child with medical needs
  • Coordination with airlines or lodging providers when questions arise

What’s not included

  • Operating as a travel agency, airline, or hotel — bookings are made with third parties
  • Medical clearance to fly — only your child’s clinicians can advise on that
  • Paying for travel or lodging on your behalf
  • Guarantees of prices, availability, or third-party service quality

Who it’s for

  • Families with confirmed appointments preparing their trip
  • Families extending or changing a stay because of a treatment schedule
  • Sponsors organizing travel logistics for a family

Before we begin

  • A confirmed appointment or admission plan
  • Appropriate visa approvals for all travelers
  • A travel budget conversation — honest planning starts with real numbers

What to expect

How it typically works

Every case is different, and no step below carries a guaranteed timeframe — but the order stays the same.

  1. Needs review

We look at your treatment schedule, family size, and budget together.

  2. Options

You receive practical, unbiased options for flights, lodging, and transportation.

  3. Booking

Your family books with the providers you choose; we help when questions or changes come up.

  4. Adjustments

When treatment plans shift, we help you adjust travel plans with the third parties involved.

About fees

Every case is different, so fees for travel & lodging are determined individually during the review of your case — and always confirmed with you in writing before any paid work begins.

FAQ

Common questions

Do you get commissions from hotels or airlines?
No. We receive no commissions or placement fees from hotels, airlines, or other providers — suggestions are based only on your family’s needs, schedule, and budget. If any commercial relationship is ever established, it will be disclosed to you plainly.
Can you find lodging inside the hospital?
Some hospitals and charities operate family lodging programs with their own eligibility rules. We help you understand and apply to options you may qualify for — the decision is the program’s.
