For healthcare professionals

Refer a patient with a case that arrives ready

When you refer a pediatric patient through Cincy Kids Bridge, your clinical information reaches an appropriate U.S. program organized, complete, and through proper channels — and you stay informed as the case moves.

What we do with your referral

  • Coordinate the family’s consent and secure record transfer
  • Organize the clinical package the way U.S. reviewers expect
  • Route the case to an appropriate program and track its review
  • Relay the program’s response to you and the family
  • Coordinate logistics if the patient travels — and follow-up when they return to you

Records worth preparing

  • Recent clinical summary with diagnosis and current status
  • Key laboratory, pathology, and imaging reports
  • Imaging studies themselves, in standard formats
  • Treatment history: medications, procedures, responses
  • Your specific question to the reviewing team

Do not attach records to the public referral form — after your inquiry, you receive a secure upload invitation.

Consent comes first

Before any records move, the patient’s parent or legal guardian must authorize the referral and the sharing of information. We provide the consent framework and will not process clinical information without it.

How you stay informed

You choose the update channel that suits your practice. We relay milestone updates — case submitted, decision received, treatment completed — and coordinate the return of treatment summaries so continuity of care survives the journey home.

Sponsors, insurers, and government programs

Case managers coordinating payment or care for a pediatric patient can use the same referral route — see also Sponsor & Insurer Coordination. Professional contact for institutional inquiries: cases@cincykidsbridge.org.
