International Families — FAQs
The questions nearly every family asks, answered the way we answer them on the phone: directly.
Can you guarantee the hospital will accept my child?
No — and no honest service can. Hospitals make acceptance decisions independently, based on their clinical review. What we can do is make sure your case reaches them complete, organized, and properly presented.
Can you guarantee a visa?
No. Visa decisions are made only by U.S. consular officers, and entry decisions by border officers. We help organize the documents that support your application — the decision is never ours to promise.
Is a hospital support letter the same as a visa?
No. The letter explains the medical purpose of your trip. It supports your application; it does not replace it or guarantee its outcome.
Does every family member need their own visa?
Each traveler may require a separate application and receives a separate decision — the child, each parent, and any accompanying relative. Plan documents and timing for everyone.
When is it safe to buy plane tickets?
After the hospital has accepted the case and the visas are approved. Until both are true, buy nothing nonrefundable.
How much will treatment cost?
Only the hospital can say, and only after reviewing your child’s case. Be cautious with anyone who names a price before that review. Plan also for travel, lodging, and daily costs — see Costs & Payment.
Do I send you my child’s medical records right away?
No. The first inquiry deliberately contains no medical records. If your case is eligible, we invite you to a secure channel for documents — never public forms, never ordinary email.
What if my child’s situation is an emergency?
A web form is the wrong tool for an emergency. Contact your local emergency services immediately. International transfer of a critically ill child is a hospital-to-hospital process led by physicians.
Do you speak my language?
Our coordination team works with families in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Russian, Turkish, Korean, and Japanese. For clinical conversations we also help you request the hospital’s professional interpreter services, and we coordinate additional interpretation support where needed.
What do your services cost?
Every family’s situation is different, so coordination fees are determined individually once we have reviewed your case and understand the scope of help you need. Fees are always confirmed with you in writing before any paid work begins, and they are separate from all medical costs.
Not sure what applies to your family?
Every case is different. Tell us your situation and a coordinator will explain which steps matter for you — honestly, and in plain language.
