Cincinnati Arrival Checklist

A calm arrival is a prepared arrival. Everything here is settled before the flight when arrival support is part of your plan — use the list to check nothing slipped.

In your hand luggage when you land

  • Passports, visas, and the hospital letter
  • Medication list and the medications themselves
  • Key medical records
  • Lodging address in English, saved and printed
  • Your coordinator’s contact and the arrival plan

First 24 hours

  • Airport pickup or transport to lodging as planned
  • Check in, rest, and let your coordinator know you arrived
  • Basic groceries and any urgent pharmacy needs
  • Phone working — roaming confirmed or local SIM installed

Before the first appointment

  • Confirm the appointment time and the exact building and entrance
  • Plan the route with buffer time for traffic and parking
  • Prepare documents the hospital asked you to bring
  • Write down your questions — see Questions to Ask a U.S. Hospital
  • Request an interpreter if you want one

Save these contacts

  • Emergency: 911
  • The care team’s number
  • Your lodging’s front desk
  • Your country’s embassy or nearest consulate
  • Your coordinator

This checklist is general information, not medical, legal, or immigration advice. Requirements vary by hospital and country — your coordinator confirms the specifics for your case.
